Project 1:
Natkalan, Gujranwala
Pakistan
Our Mission
Our initial project, in collaboration with the local non-profit Safaid Posh, involved setting up a medical camp in the remote village of Natkalan, Gujranwala, Pakistan. We enlisted a volunteer eye specialist to address the community’s health concerns. The project's success demonstrated to us the clear need for services, like these in this area, and hundreds of more, like this one, around the world.
Translation of one of the three banners from Urdu to English. "News for anyone who's been looking to get their eyes checked Free Eye Camp (on Friday) In Al Hayat Public School from 2pm to 5pm Eye Specialist Doctor Tahir Hafeez Arranged by Mominah Rao"
Summary of the Project
Date : August 9th, 2024
Location : Gujranwala, Pakistan
Project Type : Medical Camp
Doctor Type : Eye Specialist - Dr. Tariq Hafeez
Attendees : over 300
Information : With only two days of marketing across just two of the eleven local masjids, we experienced a remarkable turnout, leading us to cap attendance at 300. This overwhelming response highlighted the need for a larger-scale effort involving a more diverse group of doctors over several days. Local residents were insistent on being seen even after registration was closed, eagerly asking when we would return. Their enthusiasm underscores the need for such services to not only do our part in benefiting this city and Pakistan but everywhere else where help is needed.

Project 2:
Pakistan
Our initial project, in collaboration with the local non-profit Safaid Posh Welfare Foundation, focused on addressing economic challenges in Gujranwala, Pakistan. We provided street vendor carts filled with products to five families, empowering them to generate income and achieve greater self-sufficiency. The success of this initiative has highlighted the critical need for sustainable income opportunities in this region, as well as the potential for similar efforts to uplift communities around the world. Together, we can continue to foster long-term change and support those in need.
Summary of the Project
Date : October 1st, 2024
Location : Gujranwala, Pakistan
Project Type : Providing food-vendor carts with supplies
Attendees : 5 families
Information : Poverty remains a critical issue in South Asia, particularly in Pakistan, where 40% of the population survives on less than $3.65 USD a day. At Lil-Mo’mineen, we aim to address these challenges with sustainable solutions rather than temporary fixes. Recently, we provided five families by providing them with street vendor carts stocked with products, enabling them to generate income and increase self-sufficiency in their homes.
Our vision extends beyond Pakistan; we aspire to create a meaningful impact globally. However, we cannot succeed without your support.
